Ranking point system 

● 1 place = 320 points (winner)
● 2 place = 300 points (finalist)
● 3,4 place = 260 points (semi-finalist)
● 5,6,7,8 place = 200 points (quater-finalist, top 8)
● 9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16 place = 160 points (top 16)
● 17 place =140 points
● 18 place = 136 points
● 19 place = 132 points
● 20 place = 128 points
● 21 place = 124 points
● 22 place = 120 points
● 23 place = 116 points
● 24 place = 112 points
● 25-30 place = 100 points
● 31-36 place = 90 points
● 37-42 place = 80 points
● 43-48 place = 70 points
● 49-96 place = 60 points
● 97 place and more = 50 points

Conditions for a reduction of the basis points

● Less than 8 participating in the competition (-30% of points)
● Less than 16 participating in the competition (-20% of points)
● Less than 24 participating in the competition (-10% of points)

Conditions for an addition of the basis points:

● 36 to 47 participating in the competition (+10% of points)
● 48 to 95 participating in the competition (+25% of points)
● 96 to 143 participating in the competition (+30% of points)
● 144 to 191 couples participating in the competition (+35% of points)

● 9 from the top 12 of the Ranking List (+50% of points)
● 6 from the top 12 of the Ranking List (+40% of points)
● 9 from the top 24 of the Ranking List (+25% of points)
● 6 from the top 24 of the Ranking List (+15% of points)

● Five adjudicators, with minimum of 3 International (+10% of points)
● Super Ranking Tournament (+25% of points)

● The rank of the breaker is determined by the sum of the 6 best Ranking Tournament results, during the past 12 months. For Youth breakers (Under 18 years) it will be the sum of the 4 best ranking Tournaments.

Note: Until we have completed enough competitions we cannot activate this rule, so the breaker/s with the highest number of points, at the time the invitation is received, will be selected to represent Ireland at the international Tournament.

All representatives from Breaking Ireland/DFI to International Tournaments must be approved by the DFI Presidium.

● Breakers who are unable to participate in the local ranking events due to representing Ireland in international DFI-recognised competitions will be granted allocated ranking points. These points will be calculated based on the average points received by the breakers in their most recent competition, considering the six events preceding it.

● The top six breakers on the official Breaking Ireland ranking list, will have an exemption (star rule) and will not have to participate in the first round of a Tournament where there are 50 or more breakers participating. The breakers will join the competition at the second round stage.

● All ranking tournaments must have a minimum of 3 adjudicators and 1 non-voting head adjudicator. (Head judge = chairperson)

● The adjudicators and head judge must be nominated by Breaking Ireland/DFI. All Adjudicators must be approved by the Breaking Ireland executive committee.

● A current Athlete cannot judge a ranking competition.

● Only breakers under 18s can compete in a Youth competition

● Organizers must complete the Official Breaking Ireland Competition Application form.

● Organizers of ranking competitions must include Bboy and Bgirl at their tournament,

permission will not be granted for only one gender.

● For the Irish Open National Breaking Championships there must be a minimum of 5 adjudicators

Super ranking oturnament 

● Must have a minimum of 5 Adjudicator
● There must be a minimum of 48 participants in each category There must be a Bboy and Bgirl categories
